KUWAIT: A 26-year-old prisoner facing the death penalty in Kuwait escaped from a hospital where he was receiving medical treatment, the Interior Ministry said yesterday.
The Pakistani fugitive - identified as Mohamed Nawaz - had been sentenced to capital punishment for drug trafficking, the ministry said in a statement. The ministry urged Kuwaitis and foreign residents to call security agencies immediately if they have information on the escaped prisoner. - KUNA
