KUWAIT: The Defense Minister has praised the national armed forces branding them the solid shield for safeguarding and protecting the homeland and its stability.
Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also the Acting Prime Minister, said during a reception of well-wishers on advent of Greater Bairam that the Kuwaiti Army deserves full support from the political and military leaderships.

The Acting premier and defense minister received the well-wishers at the headquarters of the ground forces, with attendance of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Lt Gen Ahmad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, the Acting Undersecretary of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, members of the Military Defense Council and assistant undersecretaries at the ministry of defense.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak relayed greetings and blessings of HH the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, military and civil personnel serving at the Ministry of Defense, on the blessed occasion of the Eid.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak expressed pride at the significant development of the combat capacities of the national forces. The minister was accompanied during the gathering by the head of the bureau of the first deputy prime minister and defense minister, Maj Gen Saleh Meshari Al-Humaidhi. --- KUNA
