KUWAIT: The Popular Action Bloc(PAB) threatened to 'grill' HH Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah again, if the government does not refer the fourth oil refinery project's files to the Central Tender Committee.
Meanwhile, some Parliamentary blocs have decided to hold a closed-doors session with the prime minister. An official said that the Islamic Constitutional Movement(ICM) and the Islamic Salafist Alliance(ISA) have lent their support to the Premier in the wake of an impending grilling session initiated by the PAB. Some Parliamentary blocs have suggested that the prime minister reply to the MPs' questions if they are constitutional, reported Al-Qabas.
They argued that grilling is a constitutional tool that is implemented when discord arises between the government and the National Assembly. The official added that many MPs prefer to avoid a confrontation between both the authorities. If the Premier braves the session, the MPs may reconsider their decision to submit requests to hold new grilling sessions, the official said.
