KUWAIT: The Ministry of Defense denied yesterday the bombardment of sites in Iraqi regional waters and underlined its commitment to international laws and good bilateral ties. Officials from the ministry affirmed Kuwait's commitment to the relevant international charters and resolutions as well as good-neighborly relations.

Earlier yesterday, Iraqi media reported that Kuwaiti naval troops and fighter jets targeted a site for a company operating in Iraqi waters. In Remarks to KUNA, the Kuwaiti Defense Ministry spokesman Brigadier Youssef Al-Mulla termed the reports as "absolutely groundless." Al-Mulla stressed Kuwait's respect of the sovereignty of other countries and its serious efforts to enhance security and stability in the region noting that such reports would not take toll on the "deep relations between the two sister co
