KUWAIT: The Green line environmental group claims that Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) is polluting and destroying the environment and is also affecting people's health and affecting national security. The group indicated that KPC had conspired with subsidiary companies which had committed numerous environmental violations.

The environmental group is also claiming to have documents indicating KPC will execute an oil project that will lead to huge environmental disasters and they also claim that the company is throwing huge amounts of chemical waste near Wafra farms which could be seen even via satellite.

The group noted that the waste has already polluted Wafra's land and this in turn will cause huge disasters like the spread of hydrocarbon substances and polluted ground and well water. The waste has also created cracks inside the area which in turn might lead to earthquakes in Wafra. The group is very concerned that the spread of the waste may affect neighboring areas as well.

The Green line environmental group noted that KPC has tried to hide such violations and are denying such violations. The group has asked MPs to interfere and halt the plans of the company given that they are destroying the environment.
