She's no Britney Spears or Angelina Jolie, however, local newspapers, magazines and TV shows can't seem to stop broadcasting her news. Called by the media "the miracle of the era," her name is Um Ali and predicting the future is her cup of tea. She can analyze you and predict your future through your voice over the phone or simply by just having a look at your picture.

What is it all about? Kuwait Times accepted Um Ali's invitation and paid a visit to her home in an attempt to uncover more information concerning this 'gift'.
She believes she is gifted but strongly refuses being labeled a psychic or fortune teller. She said she predicted the assassination of Benazir Bhutto a few hours before the tragic incident. The death of Saddam Hussein, Rafik Al-Hariri and Sheikh Zayed Al-Nahyan were also among her predictions, Um Ali stated.

It's not a science that could be taught like astrology or palm reading, it's a science from Allah," Um Ali told Kuwait Times. "It started when I was 10 years old, and I would wake up from my sleep and it would feel like I'm watching a movie about everything that will happen in the future," she said. "At such a young age I couldn't tell anyone about my gift, not even my parents because I was sure they wouldn't have believe me.

Due to her "gift", Um Ali mourns earlier than the rest of her family members when a death occurs. She knows it's going to happen before the person even gets ill. Nor are her predictions exclusive to her own family. She says she knows the major events that will take place this year.

Um Ali offers her annual predictions to various publications and considers herself a "distinguished scholar" and believes that people should make use of her contributions.

A question about her seeking assistance from spirits had to eventually come up at some point during the interview, to which Um Ali argued, "God forbid! I'm a strong believer in Allah, actually I talk to Allah and pray to Him all the time and that's why he chose to award me with this gift." Um Ali doesn't use tools like tarot cards or a crystal ball to predict your future, she only needs to look through your eyes and everything will be clear to her.

Whether Um Ali's claims are true or not, she is only one of the thousands around the world who believe they are 'gifted', regardless of the source of their predictions. All of us are gifted, each in a special way, but sharing God's powers has never been something possible to humans.

If it wasn't for people who believe in such superstitions, and seek to know their unseen future and fate, Um Ali and her fortunetelling colleagues might stop abusing God's gift to all human beings; the human brain.
